Client: Vaillant

Role: Concept, Lead Art Director, Lead Design, Brand Guidelines, Editorial

Project Info.

Global rebranding for the traditional and iconic heat-tech brand. The task and challenge was to move radically from the status quo of the existing sterile visual world and transfer a humanistic approach through key experiences rather than product-heavy key visuals. The core brand was simplified and minimalised into a flat look, with all 3D elements extracted within the corporate identity.

Scope.

My role included a complete overhaul of typography, brand colours, website, photography, videography, internal and external comms, and trade show materials.

Usage.

The new logo (implementation due 2020/Q2) is now simplified and free to exist in different colors, sizes, and uses while the wordmark is now more confident and striking, with a strong chiseled-like style that maintains the proportions of the original but is far more nuanced without the need for the 3D feel and layered shadows.
